Hi gang, for the last few versions, I have been unable to get an
external MIDI controller mapped. I removed all the MIDI devices from my
/etc/ardour/ardour.rc and ~/.ardour/ardour.rc. leaving only this:
<MIDI-port tag="seq" device="ardour" type="alsa/sequencer"
mode="duplex"/>
because Ardour would crash when I tried to connect up any MIDI in
Qjackctl otherwise.
Now I can connect the raw MIDI from my soundcard to "seq" without Ardour
crashing, but I still don't have the "middle click gives you MIDI
mapping". Is it possible there is something else in my ardour.rc that
needs changing for this to work? [ardour.rc attached]
thanks mucho,
d.
