The reason for the new glibc is that i build my rpms on top of the 
latest mandrake multimedia kernel, xorg-6.8.2, Mesa-6.3,kde-3.3.2 and 
gnome-2.9 so it differs from standard Mandrake 10.1 but i have all the 
updates needed online.
If you dont want this you will have to download the ardour srpm and 
recompile yourself.
By using
rpm --rebuild ardour...src.rpm which builds ardour with fst support by 
defult
or
rpm --rebuild --without fst ardour...src.rpm which build ardour wothout 
fst support (the version that i have online)
