Since it's a softsynth, though, there's not much you could do with it 
inside Ardour, since Ardour doesn't send MIDI note data. It'd be better 
to use it with Rosegarden or a keyboard. I'm using their Philharmonik 
plugin (which uses the SampleTank engine) that way -- hosted on a second 
Windows box, actually, sending data via MIDI and then recording the 
audio back into Ardour.
