This is what I generally do, even between versions of supposedly
compatible sequencers. Too many nightmares in the past....

If a track has a specific effect on it that's important to the song, I
bounce one with the effect and one without. If it's just comp/reverb/eq
etc then I leave it clean as the person I'm sending it to will normally
be making their own mix.

Make sure all the tracks start from the beginning of the song at exactly
the same time, even if it's just a single tambo hit on the last beat. :)

Out of interest, has anyone thought about implementing AAF export/import
in Ardour?

I don't know a lot about it, other than it's free, there are Linux
compiled binaries and source code on the sourceforge site, and PT,
Cubase, Sonar apparently support it.
