Good luck Orm. Happy to help get you this far. No idea why
capabilities aren't working for you. Ar they really applied to that
kernel? Posibly you're not booting the kernel you think you are? Check
uname -a and /boot/grub/grub.conf to make sure.

You'll find it I'm sure.
