Is it feasible to sync another sequencer from Arodur at present?

Actually, I'm trying to sync Sonar XL with Ardour using Ardour as the master. 
I want to do all my recording in Ardour and feed at least the stereo mix of 
the midi sequence out of Sonar into Ardour so I can control the mix.

SO far, when I try to send MTC from Ardour, I get an error message saying 
something to the effect of: " [ERROR] session: cant' send quarter MTC 
message." or something like that...I see midi activity but Sonar does not 
respond.  I'd use Rosegarden but the softsynth I have in SOnar is just too 
killer to substitute for nasty old sound fonts.
