Nope - I really meant one kernel.

In the early (well earlier) days of linux audio, running Jack, Ardour, etc 
meant running risky realtime kernel hacks.  System lockups were frequent.  I 
ran multiple gentoo system partitions (i'm not pushing gentoo), one for 
general use, and several with tweaks and hacks.  Each had a different kernel.

Now I run one system (and one realtime kernel) all the time.  Life is good 
(even with 2.6.8.1 and it's CD burning problems).
