[ardour-users] Installing in OS X.

I don't know anyone who has successfully installed in OS X.  I joined this list in hopes of finding out.  I will tell you.  I did succeed in getting my missing libraries using fink.  If you are running OS X and you do not have fink, you should grab it.  Fink is like the equivalent of apt-get for OS X.  To install a package, you just run  fink install packagename  and if fink finds the package it will download it and the necessary dependencies and compile them all.  There is no fink package of ardour (although it sure would be nice if there were).  I got as far as installing all the libraries ardour needs.  Now, the installer freezes on jack.  I have installed OS X jack tools, but they still seem incompatible.  Let me know if you make more progress than I have.
