Here's what I do:

1. Put the cursor into "Range" mode, then select the range you want to 
export.  (You do this to a single track, but ardour then applies the start 
and end points to the rest of your tracks as well.  Only the one track shows 
up as highlighted, but it's ok.)

2. Right-click on the selection and choose Export.  (Or maybe Selection, 
then Export.)

3. In the new window that pops up, you'll see a list of all your tracks, 
along with 2 checkboxes -- left and right -- for each one.  Just check 
"left" or "right" or both for each track.  Then enter the filename and click 
the Export button at the bottom.
