Your soundblaster's live synth audio is probably triggered by rosegarden
*midi tracks* and going directly to your pa. So if you make ardour
record from rosegarden you will record perfect silence because that is
what rosegarden has to say audiowise with your setup. You would have to
wire your soundblaster's line out back to line in and have it on
capture ports. But then I don't know this wavetable stuff and I'm
probably wrong.

Try using a softsynth or alsaplayer as audio source and enjoy the
<click>

Start jack
Start alsaplayer -o jack and play some music
Start ardour
Session menu -> Add a track
Windows menu -> Route parameters
Dialog pops up, choose the added track and look what inputs it has.
Check the outputs too. In inputs you want audio from applications with
readable audio ports -- righthandside of the dialog. There should be
alsa_pcm ports, ardour ports and alsaplayer ports (your soundblaster's
wavetable synth doesn't show up here). Choose alsaplayer's tab and
click on "out_1". In outputs you send the track's audio somewhere,
usually to ardour:master/ins. You can send it to any writable audio
ports.
Close the dialog and record alsaplayer's audio to the track.
