hi paul!


i wonder: is the format of the git commit messages configurable? if yes, 
can you maybe get rid of the first 10 lines of boilerplate (which are 
only of interest to people who like to do hash calculations in mental 
arithmetic) and go straight to the log message?

particularly on small screens the current mail format is a nuisance, 
because the log message is only visible after scrolling.
