PS,
I have had thoughts about the tangible interface world lately. Is
there a flat image sensing surface technology out there which might
recognize fiducials at a reasonable price (Reac-Table stuff)? people
could lay out tiles of knobs and faders and address them in software
in what ever layout they want, and never have to worry about a
potentiometer getting a pile of cigarette ash and beer gummed up
inside of it. or reduce the touch panel/fader architecture of a PM--5D
to the size of a digital piano with a fold up display for a parade of
parameter boxes and a meter bridge.

Meanwhile, the hobbyists and newbies can just plop the software on
their game-machine.
