I'm not sobbing. I was making a point that saying it could affect other 
code is a fairly redundant argument. If we all stopped doing things 
because it *might* affect something else then we would never make any 
progress. Of course it won't even make it past phase 1 if it turns out 
to be a complete nightmare to implement.

I have no problem with discussing the merits of the feature. There have 
been several options that have been tabled and most of them seem way out 
of scope for the impact that the feature will have. However I see a way 
to do what I want with hopefully very little footprint now so I am going 
to move ahead with the example code as I have time.
