Depends on what you mean by "ok".
If you mean will we get mad at you for doing it then the answer is no, we
will not get mad if you attempt.
But if you mean will you get it built, then the answer is .. no.
You need to modify the code quite a bit to get it working. This job has
already been done in a related Google Summer of Code project. The fruits of
this labour has not been introduced into the main trunk of Ardours' code
because the developers deemed it more important to get 2.0 released.
You can attempt to compile the win32 branch, but it's not going to be easy.
And more importantly, the win32 branch is ancient compared to the current
trunk in terms of stability, user interface and inner-code-zen.
The branch is located in SVN under the branches/ directory.
