this is generally indicative of a misconfigured /etc/hosts or
equivalent. i wish i could tell you what the mistake is, but i don't
recall. i do know that steve harris (liblo's primary author) ran into
several people having this issue and pointed them at the right fix.
google might help ... or try the LAD list.
