[ardour-dev] ardour2.0-alpha2 segmentation fault because of missing ~/.ardour folder

After building ardour2.0-alpha2 successfully (and performing just a
simple scons command and installed using scons install), I get a
segmentation fault error right at startup. The problem disappears if I
manually create a .ardour folder inside my home directory, but then when
I open and close the Options Editor inside ardour, I get an error
message saying "[ERROR]: Config file not saved" . Somehow the .ardour
folder and the ardour.rc file are not being created in my home
directory. In fact I found the ardour.rc file inside
/usr/local/etc/ardour and that's why ardour can't write to it because of
permissions. I stopped getting the [ERROR] from the Options Editor when
I changed the ownership to the user of the ardour.rc file.

I reported this already in the ardour-user list, but then I read in the
source docs that the proper list for reporting bugs is this one. Sorry
about that.

Hector.
