I am fairly positive ardour >= 0.99.1  mac (ppc) and linux sessions
are interoperable.  Matthew's friend was not using an ardour version
new enough when he tried, I believe.

As an aside, I just finished implementing RIFX support in libsndfile
and will submit the patch to Erik shortly.  This will allow ardour
(and everyone else) to import/export RIFX WAV files.
