Yes I'm aware of this, it was something I wanted to fix before the
merge of some changes from the win32 branch but somehow I overlooked
it or failed to mention it to Taybin before he did the merge, thanks
for the reminder.

I hope to have time to fix it tonight and respond to your other
suggestions/observations.
