But it will read any valid rdf preset file there

change .ladspa into .vst for vst presets

I think the idea is that session specific settings are just stored in the 
session, you don't need presets for that. If you set the plugin a certain 
way, it will be set that way next time you open the session.
Presets are for things like "mild bass-boost" or "rock drum compression" , 
things you want to use over and over again. (if you record a bunch of 
songs/albums with the same drum set and mics f.i.)
