[ardour-dev] Deafening noise from plugins when auditioning/unmuting

It seems this happens also with ordinary tracks, and not only TAP plugins ;-). 
Try to insert a "TAP Reverberator" or "Stereo Reverb" (non TAP :-) into 
pre-fade on the master strip for example, and then mute/unmute (mind your 
ears and loudspeakers btw...).

I wonder...wasn't there some work done on plugins and latency control in 
ardour lately? Can this be linked to the trouble we are seeing?
