I'd rather take them head on;). Provide a feature to backtrack and
look at the pages history. People should be able to easily revert the
affected page to a certain time and date, so whenever anyones comes
over a fubar'ed page, they would just look up the second before the
fubar'ing began and revert the page for the next visitor.

A wiki is supposed to be effortless. You could just link to a well
known approved version as an option if the page is fubar'ed.
