[ardour-dev] gain automation problem?

I have been meaning to ask about this - in beta28 is there a known bug where
when you enable gain automation, no sound is output?

I had this problem last week  - automated a track - a little fade in at the
beginning - put automation on play, and the fader does its work, but no
sound comes out - it's like the automation cuts off the output - has anyone
mentioned anything like this?

I damn near forgot to mention it...
