The Image Compositor allows Ardour to be connected to an external image
compositor being developed at the CMT, Glasgow University,
(http://cmt.gla.ac.uk/) It allows an image based track to be displayed,
and image frames timed and arranged visually against the audio within
Ardour, to enable us to build an Animatic.

We haven't made any public release of our image compositor yet, but
hopefully fairly soon ...
