1. /etc/fstab<br>
Replace "defaults" with "noatime,nodiratime" for all filesystems except swap<br>
2. /etc/sysctl.conf<br>
Add two lines to this file:<br>
fs.inotify.max_user_watches = 524288<br>
vm.swappiness = 10<br>
3. Create file /etc/udev/rules.d/50-jackuser-timings.rules:<br>
Content (case sensitive):<br>
KERNEL=="rtc0", GROUP="jackuser"<br>
KERNEL=="hpet", GROUP="jackuser"<br>
4. Install some packages:<br>
dnf install kernel-tools realTimeConfigQuickScan rtirq<br>
5. /etc/default/grub<br>
Add the 'threadirqs' parameter to startup line and update grub: grub2-mkconfig -o /boot/grub2/grub.cfg<br>
6. Enable cpupower (kernel-tools package)<br>
systemctl enable cpupower<br>
systemctl start cpupower<br>
7. Edit /etc/sysconfig/rtirq to your needs<br>
8. Run realTimeConfigQuickScan and check, if all is well after rebooting<br>
9. Possibly check Redhats realtime guide for more tuning stuff<br>

Please verify all steps because I wrote this out of my mind - got no machine here.<br>
<br>
BTW: Fedoras stock kernel is build with preempt voluntary, not just preempt.<br>

Do you run realTimeConfigQuickScan? It's interesting that the ccrma kernel is not recognized as a realtime kernel by this script. But this kernels config parameters seem to be fine<br />
