It would be really great if more people could give
4.0-rc3 a spin and verify that it installs and runs for

there are no major issues reported.
Excellent news!

It installed without any problems and runs fine here, so far, on
UbuntuStudio 14.04-1.

It's always a bit of a shock, opening for the first time. But after
about 20 minutes I'm already used to the new look and A3 is starting
to look a bit tired by comparison -- the gradients are lovely and
make it really nice to look at.

I've not had chance to look at much, but already the gridlines seem
far more robust -- I always had problems in A3 with gridlines
vanishing as the playhead scrolled along, or when zooming, but I've
not had that happen at all so far in A4.

Can't wait to see the official documentation for the full rundown of
all the changes. Many, many, many thanks to all who have contributed
to this.

Cheers
