This would all be great, but probably hard to implement and not high on the priority list, I suppose. In any case the responsibility for attribution remains with the user, of course. But whatever Ardour could do to facilitate the process would be a big plus (even if it just showed attribution info right there at import time - I'd see this as a "courtesy" to the user from Ardour's interface, but from there on let them do the rest of license housekeeping). <div>

Aside of filtering by license, Ardour should ideally keep track of which samples sourced from freesound are in the session and generate a list for attribution.<br>

The question what is really used in a session is tricky of course, thanks to routing, muting and bouncing. So level 1 would be just a list of what has been imported at some point.<br>

A level 2, with what has been imported and is still in the session, as original region, or any bounce or recording with the original region as an input and that does feed into the mixdown ... is just too damn complicated to implement, I will assume.<br>
