<div dir="ltr"><div>I wasn't trying to say in my post about Ardour coming into its own that it's for pro audio needs mainly. The poetry of the situation is that in getting to the cusp of that realm, as an open source app it gives everyone access to the many features needed from both the old school more DAW as a replacement for mixing boards world, to the newer school DAW as a musical composition realm. <br>
<br>Right now I tried this for people in both realms and had a perspective on the duality that we're a little rough right now but we're damned close. It's win win for hobbyists and pros using the same app because Ardour can become a means not just for doing higher end projects, but for exposing people to really solid work flows who are trying to sort through all the advertising posing as information out there. <br>
<br>High quality hobbyist audio projects can now be with very little cash outlay, as well as pro needs with high end mics/preamps etc. In both cases understanding how to use your DAW is where the action is, and Ardour is coming into its own for everyone to use a subset of its features for discovering an effective work flow for their needs. <br>
<br>I only put up a post now to emphasize that its a monster task to get all of these features up to speed in the early non beta era of Ardour3 before addressing needs that might not be the most needed by pros or hobbyists for high quality projects at their level. That is, Paul, Robin etc. have their hands full without every "wouldn't it be neat if" feature being added to the list of these core needs being polished at this point in time. <br>

Yup, only 2 tracks per run but i made it do. If it wasnt for Ardour then i wouldn't have been able to do anything at all. Ardour opens the field for EVERYONE to make music!!! </span></div>
