yes, i'm doing that regularly. on my wifi, the meters are quite sluggish and you don't really want to edit, but with a gigabit connection it's quite good really.<br>

before you rely on this too much: X11-like forwarding might not be easily possible with wayland in the not-too-far future (as in, maybe 3 years down the road). vnc and friends might be more future-proof options to consider.<br>
