<p>FWIW the KX developers encourage people to choose Lucid, as they feel it's the best version of Ubuntu for audio. So you can add their PPAs which will give you the latest versions of Jack, Ardour, etc. </p>
<p>They maintain and backport packages for every release from Lucid to current.</p>
