I wish that I could.  However, as mentioned, 2.6 and 2.7 just have a

sluggish GUI and it really gets in the way.  Example: audio plays

smoothly but it takes about 5 seconds to move a fader or right-click in

the Inserts area to bring up the Insert list.<br>

with Leopard.  In theory, I believe the response would be the same as

there is the PPC build of 2.7 which I use on: OS X.4.11, 1.67GHz, 1.5GB

RAM, PPC.<br>

Just thinking... are optimization tips for running Ardour 2.7 on PPC?<br>

One other point about this. As far as I am concerned there can never be

any reason to run an older version of Ardour except a bug that affects

your work. We work hard at fixing bugs. There are hundreds of bugs in

2.4.1 (many of them appallingly easy to find) that are fixed by 2.7. 

Your X11/native perspective I will just have to accept, and I will not

try to argue with you. But running Ardour 2.4 at this point just makes

very little sense.
