Hello,

Yes, I am aware. I have tried 2.7 and 2.6 and I honestly find the GUI
performance sluggish (moving faders, choosing plugins, etc) and
therefore unusable and I prefer X11 versions. I very much want to run
2.4.1 (or at least try a few older versions to find the one that works
the best with my system (PPC, OS X.4.11, 1.67GHz, 1.5GB RAM) but cannot
find the downloads.

Back to the issue of the session disappearing... yes, using that
latest 2.7 does not open the file as well. It was a relatively small
session (8-10 tracks, 5-7 plugins), everything was fine. I saved and
closed. Went to open again and mysteriously an empty session appears.
Two errors reported:

[ERROR]: Could not understand ardour file
/MAIN/AUDIO/VALE_and_VESSEL/vv_1/Pt_I_intro.ardour
[ERROR]: Session “/MAIN/AUDIO/VALE_and_VESSEL/vv_1 (snapshot
Pt_I_intro)” did not load successfully

As stated, all the session files seem to be intact (session, history,
bak, wav, etc). For some reason now, and through no problem
encountered, it just won't load.

Other files and the other session snapshots open fine. Not sure of a
solution at this point.

Thanks,
2.0.5? do you realize how old this is? We just released 2.7 last week.
We do new releases for a reason: old releases are broken. Not because we
want your money - most ardour users don't pay anything anyway.
Upgrade to 2.7 and let us know what happens.
