Not sure if vorbis (ogg) is supported with podcasting... maybe someone

knows that.  But vorbis will solve the disk space issue, That's

You really should stay away from MP3, because of it, in my opinion. This is how you voice your opinion by not using it. Ardour uses libsndfile, btw, and Erik will not include this codec before the patent runs out.
