we're using a presonus studiolive 24.4.2 in our studio with ardour on ubuntu 
studio. we often have to re-plug the firewire cable if it was already running 
when the PC booted until the device is finally available, but other than that 
it has been a great solution for us. we're recording our rehearsals with it, 
it runs stable for hours.
