Hi Rick,

My, that's vintage. Personally, I like that sort of thing from the
past, but I can understand that you don't want to work with PCI.

I use a ZOOM U-22. Top notch, silent preamps, absolutely satisfying
sound quality. Direct monitoring, 48V phantom feed, line in, USB and
CBS output jacks. Only one combined XLR / jack plug input though, but
ZOOM offer other interfaces with more inputs. This one cost 49,00 €
before global economy went down the John, so expect something in the
proximity of 60,00 € today.

There are of course various superior products by Focusrite, but at a
considerably higher price point.
