Message-ID: <171f1ba9bd8.108e6aa6342327.2852091783600377602@zoho.com> Quick question -- Does Ardour in Windows use JackRouter? I'm guessing probably yes (or perhaps "it uses JACK but not specifically JackRouter"), but I can't find anywhere on the website that confirms yes or no. The reason why I need to know is: JackRouter 64-bit is known to break SuperCollider in Windows, with the only fix being to uninstall it and manually edit the registry to remove JackRouter keys. I typically use Linux, but I'm now for a variety of reasons forced to do some work in Windows. ("Forced" is a deliberate choice of word.) If Ardour uses JackRouter, then I would need to install the 32-bit version. So I wanted to ask before downloading. If you run $ ls -ld ~/.config/ardour* you should notice the same as I do. You don't have got a directory ~/.config/ardour6 ;). What do you suggest, is it safe to work on the latest v6?Enviado do meu Samsung Mobile da Claro -------- Original message --------From: Paul Davis Date: 5/24/20 15:16 (GMT-03:00) To: ardour-users Subject: [Ardour-Users] another 6.0 "update" If you previously used one of the pre-release versions of 6.0 (basically, any version of the code since 5.12 was released) and are now trying the release, you should probably remove the existing preferences. We've already had one bug report that was caused by having a mid-development version of the preferences still around.Linux: ~/.config/ardour6macOS: ~/Library/Preferences/Ardour6Windows; %localappdata%\Ardour6Very recent versions of these folders will not cause problems, but this is just a warning since I'm sure there will some other issues arising from this sort of thing. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... If you run $ ls -ld ~/.config/ardour* you should notice the same as I do. You don't have got a directory ~/.config/ardour6 ;). I put the track in record and I can see the guitar signal in the mixer and hear the output but MG2 doesn't register the audio to do the frequency detection.
