ok, i definitely wasn't expecting it :-D i expected it to behave just like
stacked audio regions. is it possible to quickly mute all but the topmost MIDI
region?

would that mean MIDI notes will be overridden/replaced by notes from later
takes? i wouldn't want that either. at least i would like to be able to toggle
this recording mode on a track (like "mute" or "single").
