[Ardour-Users] MTC slave mode

I am trying to understand the two additional displays directly below the
Primary Clock Display.
Specifically, when 'Enable External Positional Sync' e.g. MTC button is
clicked and MTC button is blinking green indicating Ardour is waiting for
or slaving to Full frame and Quarter Frame MTC messages...

There are two additional fields:

The first is
M 00:00:00:00 (which during slaving, flashes similar values as those
displayed by the Primary clock display)

To the right of that is a second field which also flashes (during slaving)
with either

'----' or (a white Delta Triangle icon) and '-4042sm'

For Field 1, the Hr, min, sec, fr fields are green, and for field 2 the
'-4042' are green.

I am driving MTC from another program, not a piece of hardware.
The system does lock to MTC and correctly responds to Full frame and
Quarter frame messages. As in, it appears to properly slave.

Are there some additional doc's etc. or can someone tell me whether the
flashing '-4042' is a good thing or a bad thing? Is there some other value
that I should be seeing other than '-4042' for example?

I presume that 'sm' means slave mode?

Thanks for the help.
