[Ardour-Users] Ardour Monitoring

Im trying to upgrade my gear from the old pci based Delta 1010 to a usb
interface ( PreSonus AudioBox 1818vsl ).   Since Presonus software doesnt
support Linux i need to route the signal through my computer and back out
to the monitors.

Question:  I have Ardour ( 5.8.0 ) on Fedora (22) and i have the Ardour
preference under Signal Flow -> Monitoring set to Ardour.   This works well
as long as im record enabled and the transport is rolling, but it mutes
when the transport is stopped or the track is not record enabled.  Is there
a checkbox where it will continue to monitor even if the transport is
stopped?   Or if im not recording to a track?  Or am i using that option
incorrectly?
