[Ardour-Users] Firewire installation

Hi Many thanks and have reinstalled the jack2d software from Synaptic, I
was using the software channel with didn't find jack.
Jack still refuses to start and FFADO mixer will not connect to my saffire
pro 26 It give a D buss error and will not start.
I was informed that the newer version may work but it's not in synaptic for
Ubuntu studio.
Any ideas?
