[Ardour-Users] Deleting a split region

Hello,

See attached.  A region was split ('s') on a track, then the small part
to the left chosen deleted.  Previously I have seen this working fine
although this time when the left region is deleted, the right one moves
to take its place.  What is the setting that might govern this
behaviour ?
