[Ardour-Users] LinuxVST in Ardour4.0.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS x86-64?

Installed plugins don't show up in Ardour. I have tried the recommended remedies (/usr/lib/lxvst, /usr/local/lib/lxvst, LXVST_PATH environment variable etc) with no effect. What am I missing?
