[Ardour-Users] Bus send faders automagically reappear (but I don't want them to)

I've added several bus sends to an audio input mixer channel.  I wish to
not see their individual little horizontal faders.  I hide each's send
control (right click on send > Controls > Hide All Controls).  Good!  But
as soon as I add another send (or plugin), ALL of the individual send
faders return.  Bad!  Any suggestions out there?
