[Ardour-Users] Punch in/out basics

Hello,

I'm sorry, but I cannot find how to use punch-ins/punch-outs. Before
going mad, I thought of asking here :)) So, I found that by pressing
the '[' key I can set punch-in/out markers. Those markers are now
there. I have some recorded tracks, but also have an empty test track
which I would like to start and stop recording in that punch-in/out
range.

I move the reading cursor head a bit before the first marker, then
start recording. Recording starts immediately. It does not wait to be
inside the punch-in/out range. The fundamental question is: how to
make the recording start and stop within the punch-in/out range ??

Also, when a punch-in/out maker is moved with the mouse, the normal
time is not shown. Instead is the other type of time/track position
with which I'm not working with and never really paid attention to. Is
it possible to have the normal time shown instead to set those markers ?

Thanks !
