[Ardour-Users] No sound from my speakers

I've resisted chiming in there because I'm far from the expert in Ubuntu
audio.

With that being said, I have found that the kxstudio PPAs make things much
easier to digest in terms of "routing this to that" in order to actually
hear things make sound the way you'd expect them to.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say the kxstudio tools (cadence, catia, etc.)
make it seem like you're still a musician while trying to make music and
not 'linux-computer-guy' (<--not that that's a bad thing or
anything....it's just very frustrating to want to do something creative and
be stymied by the OS/software/setup/routing).

In my experience, the kxstudio tools mitigate those things greatly.

Check it out if you can: http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/
