[Ardour-Users] simple MIDI binding for iCON QConPro

hi *!


here is a very simple generic MIDI binding for the iCON QConPro in Logic 
Pro mode. it contains almost all MIDI messages the device produces, 
although not all are bound to ardour actions.

currently, the mapping supports transport control (via Note{On|Off}, not 
generic MMC), rudimentary jog wheel support via the "nudge playhead" 
mechanism, fader banking, solo, mute, rec enable, as well as some 
utility functions.

it doesn't do button lights feedback for all functions (the only ones 
where it works are mute and solo, and even those don't get refreshed 
when the bank is changed.

as rudimentary as it is, it makes the QConPro quite usable.


the next things i want to tackle are touch (is this already bound to a 
controllable in ardour? - i couldn't find it) and maybe hack in some 
display feedback. does the mackie control mechanism in ardour support 
display commands already?

i tried using the mackie control mode with the qcon, but i got no life 
signs whatsoever, so i went for generic midi for now.
