[Ardour-Users] multichannel panning

Hi,

I only have found old posts online about this topic (ie, related to Ardour
2.x). I wonder what's the status of built-in multichannel panning in Ardour
3.

This is what I am doing:

I created a session with a 4-channel master bus, then I created a track
where I put a mono file. Then I am able to spatialize it manually by
choosing a fixed location using the spherical panner in the editor mixer.
However, if I try to automate this spatialization using the automation
feature (I set it to "play" and draw a curve), this does not work.

I tested this on Ardour 3.1 on Ubuntu Linux (yes, and this made me realize
I should update it...)
