Hi,  I still have no success connecting my midi keyboard via the midi sockets on the back of my audiophile 2496 to ardour.
When i run ardour and look inside Jack connections/MIDI tab, there is only ardour ins and outs available with nothing to connect them too.
Should my keyboard appear as something in JACK..

Any suggestions?

Cheers,
Nick

use a2jmidid with the -e option. all ALSA MIDI ports (h/w and software) will appear in JACK and the timing (latency+jitter) will be excellent.
