Yes, my rant was not precise enough ;-)
I meant a software which will present me with some sort of list of available software to choose from. With pacman I need to know what I want beforehand. But many many times I don't.... 
I probably could have searched the internet for available packages...but I'm lazy and so I returned to Debian and aptitude.
