Paul-

To answer your question, yes I do, more so on Mixbus than on Ardour, but as was mentioned it can be useful for setting up complicated things on A2.  However between the Send overhaul, and then Matrix routing on A3, I am not convinced it is needed.  That being said though, in the Track/Bus inspector I could add and remove ports which I can't remember if that can be done in the Matrix editor on A3.

Harrison is planning on integrating A3 and Mixbus as far as I am aware(Keeping in mind I don't work for Harrison), but not until they feel A3 is ready and stable.  They certainly won't look at it while it is still in testing phases I don't think.

ok, cool.. yes, the matrix patchbay looks like a good solution; keeping both is probably unnecessary.

(i guess now i'll have to go ask the mixbus folks about their trajectory for Ardour3 integration -- i mostly use mixbus now, and i imagine they'd be proud to have a nice matrix patchbay like that!)

I agree, at first I was concerned because I use this a lot in A2, but the matrix does look like a much more elegant way to check/make connections.
Plutek, Let me know what you hear from Mixbus on the A3 integration.  I was curious about this as well since I've been using Mixbus for a while now on OS X.  Thanks!!
