Sure. Here's the description in a nutshell: The analysis tool analyzes
selected regions or ranges on _selected tracks_.

The "Link Region/Track selection" option (in the misc menu) makes things
a lot easier. With that option enabled, all tracks with selected content
are also selected.

I guess I could change the tool to analyze all selected regions or
ranges despite track selection.. Any thoughts?

Also, note that some older versions of Ardour messed up the track
selection when navigating the region context menu. This resulted in
getting analysis for only the selection on the track you right clicked
on. This might be the case for Kim as 2.8.2 is pretty ancient.
